(2) PRONOUN
A pronoun is a word used for a noun or a clause.
Examples:
Mike(Proper Noun) is not here; he(Pronoun) is ill.
He failed, which(Pronoun) broke his heart.
(3) A Verb is a word denoting some action.
The easiest way is to first find the verb, an action or state of being. Is, are, was, walk,sleep,dream,seem, fight,fly,read,talk,have,got,bought,gave,breath.
Examples: He walks. I go. She sleeps. They swim.
(4)An Adverb is a word telling you more about the verb in that sentence.
Example: He walks fast. He is(verb) very clever(Adverb).
(5)An Adjective is a word which adds a meaning to a noun in that sentence.
Examples: A good boy(\(\(\(noun). A dark room(noun).
Adjectives describe nouns. Adverbs describe verbs.
EXAMPLE : I quickly cleaned the messy room. I=noun (pronoun and subject). Cleaned=verb. Quickly=adverb. Room=noun (direct object). Messy=adjective.
(6)Articles a,an,the (There are only 3 articles in the English language).
Questions to be asked to find out whether the word in a sentence is a noun, pronoun, proper noun, adverb, adjective,
NOUN : Ask the question "WHO"
VERB : Ask the question "WHAT" is that one doing
PROPER NOUN : Is there a "NAME" in the sentence
PRONOUN : Is there a substitute for the Name Like "He,She,It"
ADVERB : Is there any word describing more the verb.
ADJECTIVE : Is there any word describing more the noun.
ARTICLE : Is there the word "a , an , the " in the sentence.
